Ben Garnett

Position: Senior Architectural Technologist

Ben is a skilled Architectural Technologist with a focus on residential design, delivering homes across a range of scales and typologies. He specialises in RIBA Stages 0–4, with particular expertise in design development and navigating building regulations.

His design ethos draws from the character of local contexts, aiming to enhance rather than impose. He champions the resurgence of gentle density—preferring low-rise apartments and townhouses over sprawling detached suburbs. Ben is particularly inspired by the re-emergence of Victorian and Edwardian streetscapes, which he sees as more welcoming and human-scaled than stark modernist facades.

While he hasn’t settled on a favourite Paddock Johnson project yet, he’s enjoying the opportunity to broaden his experience—especially through work in high-rise developments, care homes, and extra care housing.
